Database Training

The library staff welcomes you back to a new season of trainings designed to enhance your research skills and provide more information at your fingertips. Training sessions on selected law-related databases in the library's database collection (RIDER) will be held in November. In addition, you can continue to refine your research skills by attending monthly trainings for the legal and news databases in LexisNexis. See the training schedule.

Aviation Safety and Security Bibliographies

The DOT library staff has compiled several bibliographies on aviation safety and security from the viewpoints of the government, the public, the GAO, and the legislative branch. The bibliographies are available in all three library branches.

New District of Columbia Code

The DOT library recently received its new set of the D.C. Code. On January 5, 2001, the Council of the District of Columbia named West Group to be the publisher of the official version of the District of Columbia Code Annotated. This publication renders the 1981 edition of the D.C. Code Annotated obsolete.

Amnesty Week

In an effort to better serve all of our customers, the DOT Library has designated October 21st through November 2nd as Amnesty Weeks. Any library materials may be returned during this time with no questions asked.

FAA Law Library

The FAA Law Library welcomes a new intern! Anne Foley is currently pursuing her Masters' degree at Catholic University's School of Library and Information Science. Anne comes to this internship with a wealth of experience. She obtained her law degree from Tulane University School of Law in 1982 and has done extensive legal research and writing for the National Legal Research Group in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a member of the D.C. Bar and the American Association of Law Libraries.
